Maurice Merleau-Ponty Su Baker is currently enrolled as a candidate in the Doctorate of Creative Arts, at Curtin University, for completion in 2004. Baker is currently Head of School, Art, VCA. Her first solo exhibition was in 1983 at Galerie Düsseldorf in Perth and she has since exhibited regularly at Galerie Düsseldorf in Perth and Sydney. Over the last 20 years she has participated in many national exhibitions. Her work has also featured in a father (Allan Baker) and daughter exhibition at the Galerie Düsseldorf in September 2001. Baker has been the recipient of several grants and awards including, the 1996 Portia Geach Memorial Award Overseas Development Grant.
