This is the focus of Tom Mùller’s Liquid Empires. Mùller’s focuses on the country’s ongoing concern for the depletion of its natural water supply by presenting a stylised map of the Australian river systems. As he explains, “like a waterfall spilling for the last time, the Australian water situation is critical. Water authorities are also capitalising, the Empire is growing in power as the dependence on water increases”.
